StartConsole for CEOs
The pages and actions a CEO uses in StartConsole.
As CEO, StartConsole gives you a clear view of whether strategy is being executed — not just planned. Your focus is on the health of the portfolio, the resolution of escalations, the progress of strategic objectives, and the decisions being made across the organisation.
Pages you will use most
Dashboard — Your primary entry point. The portfolio health score gives you a quick read on portfolio condition. From the Dashboard you can see the number of active signals by severity, OKR progress at a glance, and links to the areas that need attention.
Signals — Your escalation feed. Filter to Critical severity to see only the flags that require executive attention. Each signal shows the initiative, the type of problem, the owner, and a recommended action.
OKRs — Your strategy execution view. Check OKR progress to see whether the organisation's key results are advancing as expected across pillars and themes.
Decisions — Your governance audit trail. Review decisions logged in SteerCo and QBR sessions to confirm strategic direction is being recorded and followed through.
Key actions by cadence
Weekly: Open the Dashboard and review any new Critical signals. Check whether signals from the previous week have been resolved by their owners. Spend five minutes on the Signals page before your leadership team meeting.
Monthly: Prepare for SteerCo by reviewing the portfolio health score, active signals, and OKR progress. Use the executive briefing export to give leadership a consistent pre-read.
Quarterly: Run the OKR review session using the OKRs page. Assess which key results were achieved, which were missed, and what that means for the next quarter's priorities.
Notifications you will receive
- Critical signals — when a new Critical-severity flag is raised on a high-priority initiative, you receive an immediate notification
- Gate approval results — when a gate decision is made on a major initiative, the outcome is sent to you as a notification
